CoachesCare subscribes to the idea that there are NO Shortcuts to Success. Success requires solid commitment, dedication, and a strong work ethic. If an athlete is willing to put forth true and focused effort, our program can help them reach their goals. Our coaches have the passion and dedication required to develop the skills and discipline to process the fast-paced game of basketball.

Athletes will receive training to build their understanding of game strategies. Interactive discussions will address common game-day situations, while answering questions related to popular play calling and team-based strategies, to develop stronger students of the game
Coaches will teach innovative practice drills to help athletes develop their strength, quickness, agility, and flexibility. Our practices will develop and reinforce proper form and execution.
Mental Discipline is the most overlooked component of a successful athlete’s preparation.
Most kids have dreams. Whether it's a dream to play in the NBA, NFL, or to be an Astronaut. They have Dreams. CoachesCare goal is to ENCOURAGE & Inspire them to DREAM BIG. Take the Vision, Write it Down, and Make it Plain.
Every Spring Season we will ask the kids to do an Inspiration Board. We will schedule one practice during the Spring Season for the athletes to bring their Vision Boards and share them with their teammates and parents. This is a great way to create Positive Peer influence while training and preparing our athletes to get comfortable with public speaking. The Box is a project I learned as a college student at the Awesome HBCU Bowie State University. It challenges the athlete to think about how their friends and teammates think about them vs what think about themselves. It's a fun yet challenging exercise.
The outside of the box will be pictures, words, and images on how the athlete thinks he or she is viewed by their friends and teammates.
The inside of the box will be pictures, words, and images of how the athlete feels about him or herself.
This activity helps the athlete tap into thoughts about themselves and communicate those thoughts in a fun kid-friendly way. This is a great way to help athletes with self-reflection.
This is also a Great Activity for Parents and Adults. When you say who cares remember CoachesCare.
In a perfect society, many men learned how to tie a tie from their fathers. Unfortunately, we live in a time where this skill is overlooked because of different socioeconomic reasons. CoachesCare believes this simple skill is a MUST for all our male athletes.
Hill runs on Saturday mornings during the Spring and Summer sessions to build the total athlete.
Once a year CoachesCare will bring all TeamUP squads together to celebrate our Community of Involved TeamUP Parents, Players, and Coaches. This will be a festive event to enjoy each other's company and recognize our Coaches, Parents, and Players. This event will specifically focus on the parents who support their son or daughter's team beyond being an "Unpaid Uber Driver." We will also recognize the coaches who have devoted themselves to developing the team(s) they manage.
